It reminds us of the profound impact books have in fostering friendships across cultures and continents and promoting empathy and understanding between distant peoples. Today, I am particularly grateful for the exceptional leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. His unwavering commitment to prioritize books, reading, and culture as pillars of our development strategy has inspired many and contributed significantly to the progress of our nation.
