Islamic Forum reviews its achievements on Zayed Day

Sharjah24: In conjunction with Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work, the Islamic Forum in Sharjah carried out the second series of Cultural Councils, organized in collaboration with the Correctional and Rehabilitation Institutions in Sharjah. This comes as part of the cultural institution's efforts to commemorate the accomplishments of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, highlighting his positive impact on individuals and society. The councils witnessed active participation from around fifty inmates of the institution, creating an atmosphere of presence and interest in humanitarian and cultural issues. The forum celebrates contributions to charitable work and humanitarian development.
The forum held a council session featuring two valuable lectures presented by Dr. Ahmed Al Khatib, Professor of the Holy Quran and its Interpretation at Al Qasimiya University. The first lecture was titled "Good Character and Patience," shedding light on the achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed and the significance of good character and its positive influence on individuals and society. It discussed how the good character of the founding father impacted the construction of a civilized society and explored how good character can positively affect society as a whole by promoting peace, improving relationships among people, and inspiring others to adopt noble values and virtuous ethics.

The second lecture was titled "Patience and Perseverance," emphasizing the value of patience and steadfastness in facing challenges and difficulties. It delved into the concept and importance of patience and highlighted the ways in which the late Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, dealt wisely and patiently with hardships to achieve success and progress in his life.

At the conclusion of the programs, the Secretary-General expressed his pride in Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work, emphasizing the importance of honoring the virtues and principles that the late Sheikh Zayed was raised upon. He called for sharpening and refining ambitions in line with the values and principles embodied by Zayed Day in dealing with others and building an interconnected and integrated society. He urged drawing inspiration from Zayed's ethical school to create numerous initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the humanitarian values of the late founding father. He stressed the significance of humanitarian and charitable work in building a better society, as the community continues to build bridges of communication and cooperation, and enhance the values of goodness and giving, under the banner of loyalty and excellence represented by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In recognition of their valuable efforts in organizing this event, Issa Al Balushi, Director of Community Programs, honored Sheikh Badr with the Cultural Institution's shield and presented all participants with certificates of appreciation.
