'Emirates... Events and History' discusses passing of Sheikh Zayed

Sharjah 24: Heritage researcher Fahd Al Maamari, Chairman of the Emirates Library and Information Association, pointed out that the Emirati people were saddened by the passing of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, following Tarawih prayers on Ramadan 19, 2004, which was a great shock to the people of UAE.
The programme "Emirates... Events and History," presented by "Sharjah 24," reviews historical events that took place in the UAE during the holy month of Ramadan, in 8 episodes, published twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. 

The sixth episode presented the passing of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, the founder of the UAE, on the 19th of Ramadan, which turned into Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.

Heritage researcher Fahd Al Maamari, Chairman of the Emirates Library and Information Association, explained that the efforts of Sheikh Zayed and his white hands remain, as the UAE is keen to commemorate this occasion in fulfillment and commemoration of the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose goodness and giving reached all parts of the world.
