Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club held its annual ceremony to honor the winners of the Al Dhaid Quran Club Award in its seventeenth edition, as part of the activities of the Fifth Al Dhaid Ramadan Forum. It is one of the Quranic awards that are keen to organize during the holy month of Ramadan, and it comes within the activities of the Fifth Ramadan Forum of Al Dhaid Club.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Mua'did bin Huidan, Sheikh Obaid bin Suhail Al Taniji, Sultan Matar bin Delmouk, Chairman of the Sharjah Foundation for the Quran and Sunnah, Salem Mohammed bin Huidan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, Dr. Ali Salem Al Taniji, Deputy Chairman of the Bostan Suburb Council, Major General Maher Al Khattari, and Hamid Abdullah Al Saderiya Al Khattari, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, in addition to members of the Al Dhaid Club's Board of Directors and a gathering of dignitaries and community figures in the Central Region.

The ceremony, presented by the media personality Islam Al Shewi, began with the national anthem, followed by recitation of verses from the Noble Quran by contestant Diyab Mohammed Obaid bin Matar Al Taniji. Then, Salem Mohammed bin Huidan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, delivered a speech conveying the highest congratulations and greetings to the leadership of the country and the people of the UAE on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He affirmed that the award is a translation of the directives of the Ruler of Sharjah in making the foundation of building generations based on the Book of Allah Almighty.

Bin Huidan pointed out that the ceremony is held after the participation of 325 contestants in the seventeenth edition of the Al Dhaid Ramadan Quran Competition in nine categories, qualifying 55 participants for victory, in addition to honoring four individuals who have completed the memorization of the entire Quran and honoring the judging committee.

Then, a speech was delivered by the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment , given by Saleh Obaid Bin Laith, Director of the Establishment's branch in the Central Region, who praised the generous support and continuous care from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi,  Supreme Council Member and  Ruler of Sharjah. 

He affirmed that this support reflects the keenness of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to serve the Book of Allah Almighty and raise the general level of Quranic performance in terms of memorization, recitation, and Tajweed, as well as encouraging citizens and residents' children to compete honorably in memorizing and reciting the Quran and joining Quranic circles, which His Highness always directs to open in all regions and neighborhoods. Al Dhaid Award for Al Dhaid Club is one of the important and supportive Quranic prizes.

Bin Huidan praised the sponsor of the prize, Khalifa Al Khattari Law Firm for Advocacy and Legal Consultations.

At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Mua'did bin Huidan, Sheikh Obaid bin Suhail Al Taniji, Sultan Matar bin Delmouk, Salem Mohammed bin Huidan, and Hamid Abdullah Al Saderiya Al Khattari, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with members of the Board of Directors and dignitaries, honored the winners.

The honors included the winners in the category of one part for citizens, the category of three parts for citizens, the category of three parts for residents, the category of five parts for citizens, the category of five parts for residents, the open category of ten parts, the open category of twenty parts, and the category of memorizers of the entire Quran, as well as the judging committees.
