Sharjah24: The Health Promotion Department (HPD) at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah (SCFA) recently organised a meeting for the scientific committee of the 10th edition of Sehati Conference 2024. The committee is made up of a diverse group of experts and specialists from different local, Gulf, and international health fields. This meeting was organised by the department to ensure the success of the conference, which is scheduled for October 2024.

The meeting was led by Her Excellency Eman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, and Prof. Dr. Mohamad Alameddine, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Scientific Committee. Additionally, members of the scientific committee from various entities also took part in the meeting.

At the meeting, the attendees talked about the administrative processes and logistical preparations for organising the tenth edition of the Sehati Conference. Among the agenda items were the selection of the conference slogan for the current year, identifying speakers for the conference sessions, and conducting a thorough review of the conference's goals, anticipated outcomes, and projected impact. The upcoming conference will feature a range of scientific sessions that will cover various health and medical topics. These sessions will focus on promoting healthy environments and systems, exploring digital health advancements, addressing mental wellness, and discussing healthy living practices.

Commenting on this, Her Excellency Eman Rashid Saif stated that the preparations for the tenth edition of the Sehati Conference are following the planned schedule. The goal is to organise a meaningful event that has a positive impact on society. This is in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.

Eman Rashid highlighted the importance of the topics that will be addressed at this year's conference. The conference aims to bring attention to different health issues and work towards creating a favourable health environment for everyone in society. 

 In addition, the conference will focus on principles and methods aimed at improving public health and preventing a range of diseases. In addition, it will address urgent and current health concerns that impact people from all walks of life, such as digital and mental health. It will also raise awareness about the significance of adopting healthy eating habits, which are essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
