Sharjah 24: The 31st edition of the annual Ramadan sports championship of the Sharjah Police General Command, organised by the Sports and Social Activities Section of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Sharjah Police Club, begins on Wednesday, with the participation of all Sharjah Police departments and strategic partners, and continues until the 19th of the holy month.

Lieutenant Colonel Hamad bin Dukhain Al Matroushi, Director of the Officers Club Branch, said that the Ramadan championship enjoys the support and interest of the Sharjah Police, for its important role in building bridges of communication and developing the spirit of competition among members.

He pointed out that the annual organisation of the Ramadan sports championship is an extension of the successes it has achieved in past years, and the impact it has had on the quality of health for members.

He explained that the sports tournament this year is attended by employees of the Sharjah Social Services Department and Al Qasimi Hospital, as it includes a wide range of sports competitions, such as volleyball, padel tennis, football, tug of war, and swimming from 50 to 100 metres, in addition to competitions for the women, which includes: bow and arrow, air archery and padel tennisa.
