Sharjah 24: Under the slogan “Partners in Making Creative Personality,” Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators launched the third edition of the “Theatrical Creativity Award,” which targets members of its institutions, Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah Capability Development – Tatweer, in the age group sfrom 6 to 31 years old, to crown their individual creativity in theatre.

Through the award, Rubu’ Qarn Foundation seeks to motivating members to discover theatrical culture and self-knowledge, measuring and developing their knowledge, based on the importance of theatre and its enlightening role in shaping the cultural awareness of members, enhancing their creative imagination and discovering their abilities, and providing them with the opportunity to freely express themselves. 

“Rubu’ Qarn” provides members of its institutions, including children, adolescents, the opportunity to participate in the four branches of the award, which include the theatrical viewing award, the theatrical reading award, the theatrical performance award, in addition to the theatrical writing award, in accordance with the conditions specific to each branch of the award. Awards details will be announced in a series of introductory workshops, scheduled to be held at the headquarters of Rubu’ Qarn for Theatre and Performing Arts in City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah, in addition to the centres of institutions affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation, throughout the Emirate of Sharjah.

It is worth noting that Rubu’ Qarn is one of the most important successful experiences in building humans. Nearly 40 years ago, specifically in 1985, the cultural project of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, began, which aims to invest in people, by establishing centres in all Sharjah suburbs aimed at containing children and adolescents and providing a safe environment where they can practice their hobbies.

The wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, added to this process by establishing the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for creating leaders and innovators, the first Arab and regional institution that works hand in hand with society to build conscious and influential generations, through programmes and activities in different fields, enriching people’s knowledge, experiences and skills through a journey extending over 25 years of his life, hence comes the name of Rubu’s Qarn.
