Sharjah Contact Centre a mass communication channel during SHD

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Contact Centre, which operates under the umbrella of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, continues its participation in Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD), as an authorised contact centre that provides information to the public about the event’s activities taking place in the various cities and regions of the emirate: Sharjah, Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Al Dhaid.
The information provided by the Centre includes the activities of Sharjah Heritage Days in its 21st edition, training workshops, artistic, entertainment and awareness-raising activities, in addition to displaying local environments, popular games, popular traditions and folkloric heritage performances.

In this context, Engineer Khalid Omar Al Naqbi, Director of the Sharjah Contact Centre, accentuated the Center’s keenness to enrich its periodic partnership with the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) during the Sharjah Heritage Days, praising its role in enhancing cultural communication among peoples and deepening heritage and national identity.

 Al Naqbi pointed out that a work team has been allocated to meet the requirements of the public, visitors and government agencies to achieve visitors’ satisfaction, listen to their suggestions and respond quickly to solve problems, to attract visitors and contribute to enhancing communication between the public and government agencies through the event’s main information station.

The Sharjah Contact Centre contributes to promoting and announcing the most prominent activities of the event through its official social media channels, and provides text messaging and e-mail services, with the aim of activating communication with the public and informing them of the agenda of the activities held to enhance cooperation and integration and support the initiatives and activities of Sharjah Government agencies.

The work team is responsible for responding to public inquiries about the opening date of the event in the cities and regions of Sharjah and its various activities that target families and children and are popular with various visitors to the event of different nationalities.

The Centre also participates, through its own platform in the Heritage Village in Khorfakkan, in introducing visitors to the role of the Centre and the services it delivers to customers, responding to public inquiries about the activities accompanying Sharjah Heritage Days in the city of Khorfakkan and other areas of the Emirate of Sharjah, and exploring the most important and prominent diverse and unique tourist sites on the map of Sharjah landmarks to provide visitors with the opportunity to have an exceptional tourism experience through free communication on the Sharjah Contact Centre’s channels, the most prominent of which is 80080000, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Sharjah Contact Centre is the first free contact centre that harnesses the services of government agencies to customers through various communication channels and provides around the clock services to customers through a single point of contact with all government agencies affiliated with the Government of Sharjah, in accordance with the best standards adopted globally in the field of contact centre management.
