Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Community Development (MOCD) and the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) to enhance collaboration in providing social support services for electricity, water, and gas consumption. The objective of the agreement is to facilitate and accelerate the procedures involved in offering social assistance services, and to ensure they reach the deserving recipients in a digitally connected environment.

The MOU was signed by Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, Director General of SEWA, Nasser Ismail, Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Welfare Sector in the MOCD, and Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Head of the SSSD.

This agreement reflects the wise leadership's directives and vision, aimed at achieving digital transformation, improving the provision of services, and ensuring their delivery to deserving citizens in the most efficient and straightforward manner. 

The MOU will contribute to enhancing the quality of people's lives by providing data and information and sharing them between the parties, saving time, effort and costs for the beneficiaries of service support, and speeding up communication with the public and responding to their requirements. 

The parties involved are coordinating to implement these initiatives and enhance cooperation to achieve common goals in a way that serves the unification of efforts to promote social development, ensuring the highest standards for exchanging and sharing data, and completing transactions quickly and efficiently.
