Sharjah24:The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation recently organised a set of specialised training sessions for the "Sanad Al-Beit" initiative, engaging 101 young individuals from Sharjah and Kalba in the Eastern Region. The primary objective is to empower families by instilling leadership principles and skills in the youth, enabling them to take on vital roles in supporting mothers and siblings.
The "Sanad Al-Beit" project represents a practical approach, merging personal development with a positive influence on surroundings. It aims to serve orphans, enhance their roles within the household, extend its impact to the extended family, and resonate within the broader community. The methodology involves creative and purposeful techniques tailored to the youth's aspirations.

Comprising a series of workshops and enrichment courses, the project targets orphans and their guardians, adding a forward-looking dimension by instilling essential educational principles. This equips them to be impactful and influential within themselves, their families, and their communities. Ultimately, it prepares them to serve as pillars for homes, families, and society.

Nuha Othman, Executive for Strategic Planning and Performance Evaluation, expressed, "Fuelled by our commitment to empower orphans and our belief in their capabilities, our efforts align with the directives of our wise leadership to empower youth with knowledge and experiences. We conducted workshops focusing on enhancing leadership concepts to play an integral role in driving positive change, fostering responsibility and leadership skills. Our goal is to mould individuals capable of self-reliance, elevate youths' personalities to a level of competence and excellence, and prepare them to be active contributors in their communities as well as a support system for their families.

She further noted, "To achieve the workshops' objectives, an orientation session was organised for orphan mothers, with 41 participants. The session emphasised their pivotal role in the Sanad Al-Beit project, acting as a motivating factor for their children to derive optimal benefits from the workshops. The mothers were provided with a comprehensive overview of the project and its underlying concepts.”
