Citizen’s awareness contributed to success of electoral process

Sharjah 24: Counselor Dr. Mansour Mohammed bin Nassar, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Sharjah Consultative Council Elections, explained that the third round of the SCC elections witnessed a remarkable development, the most important manifestation of which is the hybrid voting system, which combines electronic and in-person voting.
He stated that the turnout in voting in the elections reflected the great awareness among citizens of the electoral process, and the culture among voters and candidates, which has developed greatly since the first round, where 87% of the total registered people voted in the electoral bodies, a total of 45,167 male and female voters out of 51,637 members of the electoral bodies.

Bin Nassar told “Sharjah 24  that the voting days saw the presence of young people, the elderly, and women, and today they are all winners in the emirate’s electoral wedding, and we wish success to all the winners in serving the nation, appreciating the efforts made by all parties in making the voting process a success.
