With his three-term tenure beginning in December 2014, Majid Abdullah Al Osaimi became the first Arab to hold the position of president of the Asian Paralympic Committee. He thanked the UAE's wise leadership and the people for their unwavering support, saying that the UAE's visionary leadership has enabled empowered people of determination to accomplish unparalleled accomplishments.
The words of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were emphasised by Al Osaimi. He said that it is both an honour and a great responsibility to showcase the cultural and humanitarian side of the United Arab Emirates in Asia and around the world.
Following the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, he met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and that meeting served as both inspiration and motivation for him to carry on with his selfless commitment.
According to Al Osaimi, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, had good reason to have faith in his ambitious citizens, and that faith had good results in many areas.
