Sharjah 24: The ceremony for the drawing of lots for the twenty-sixth Sharjah Government Agencies Football Championship will be held on Wednesday, organised by Sharjah Government Employees Club in cooperation with the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), where 12 teams representing government departments and institutions in Sharjah will participate.

Twelve teams confirmed their participation in the tournament, namely, Sharjah Cooperative Society, Kalba City Municipality, General Administration of the Emiri Guard, Sharjah International Airport Authority, Social Services Department, Human Resources Department, Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Police General Command, Sharjah Science Academy, Sharjah Sports Council, General Administration of Civil Defense, and Department of Suburbs Affairs.

Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, confirmed that this tournament comes within a series of tournaments organised by Sharjah Government Employees Club, in all sports competitions, to achieve the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, making sure that all services are provided to Sharjah Government employees.  

Bin Khadim noted that the aim of the tournament is to develop the spirit of fair competition in a friendly atmosphere, confirming that the tournament is a good opportunity for communication between Sharjah employees outside of daily working hours.
