Sharjah24: Based on the generous directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club (SERC), in cooperation with the Emirates Racing Authority, is organising the first race at the Sharjah Longines Racecourse for the 2023/2024 season, the His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Cup race on Sunday at 2:15 pm, at Sharjah Longines Racecourse at the club.

The sport event is sponsored by Longines, the official sponsor of the 2023/2024 racing season at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club and the largest contributor to coverage of equestrian events in the country, with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council and media sponsors of the Sharjah Sports TV.

A total of 85 horses, including 5 reserve horses, compete in the race, including a large number of purebred Arabian horses, local production horses, and purebred crossbred horses. The race consists of six rounds for different distances and levels.
