Sharjah24: In pursuit of fostering enhanced collaboration for the creation of Braille publications aimed at visually impaired children, a recent meeting was convened between the Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work (SAVW) and the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired.
This meeting took place at the premises of the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired and was attended by a delegation from the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, led by Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of SAVW. Adel Abdullah Al Zumar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired warmly received the visiting delegation.

During this meeting, both parties discussed the most effective strategies and practices offered by the award and the association to benefit the community. Fatima Al Balushi stressed the significance of ongoing communication between the award and non-governmental organisations, with the aim of serving the community and providing assistance to various segments of the population.

She further emphasised that the award is committed to leveraging all its resources and services to support the sustainability of non-governmental organisations and to recognise their contributions to community service. This commitment is reflected in the allocation of specific award categories and the presentation of prizes that support both non-governmental organisations and individuals with disabilities.
