Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) decided to withdraw its participation this year from the Frankfurt Book Fair, calling for highlighting the role of culture and books in encouraging dialogue and understanding between people.

This comes in light of the statement of the director of the Frankfurt International Book Fair, which supports Israel, and the fair's management withdrawing the award for the Palestinian author Adania Shibli.
