The programme comes within the framework of Sharjah Children keenness to provide members with consumption rationalisation skills.

The programme also aims to provide children with smart financial habits, knowledge and skills that instill a culture of saving; as well as enhancing self-confidence and assuming responsibility, through buying and selling skills; the ability to deal with goods, cash and daily financial issues; whereas such skills will have an influential role in their lives and future directions.

The programme covered many topics that introduce children to the concept and role of money in society; ways of earning, saving, and financial participation; and the most important means that help them earn money; understanding the difference between basic needs and desires; in addition to practicing personal economics and methods for making and applying correct decisions in the financial aspect.

The programme also included a group of educational games and activities aimed at introducing children to the benefits of saving.
Through this programme, “Sharjah Children” seeks to raise children who are aware of their responsibilities, self-reliant, and able to deal with life’s challenges of all kinds to take responsibility and plan for their lives to be future entrepreneurs, by building their personalities and giving them a sound economic upbringing.
