Sharjah's team won Dibba Al-Hisn with a score of 30-22 in the first round of Group Two of the UAE Handball Cup. Saturday evening's game was conducted at the Sharjah Sports Club's arena. Sharjah will face Al-Ain in the second round next Friday before ending the preliminary stage on October 7th against Maliha.

Sharjah Club has already won the Union Cup and the Super Cup this season. They hope to continue their success by replicating their results from the previous season and possibly setting a new record by winning their 44th title.

In addition to other Gulf handball triumphs, Sharjah has previously won the General League Shield 17 times, the President's Cup 10 times, the Super Cup 6 times, the UAE Cup 5 times, the Deputy President's Handball Cup 3 times, and the Union Cup once.
