Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electoral Committee for the Federal National Council (FNC) Elections 2023 stressed the significance of active participation during the early voting phase that commenced on Wednesday at all local polling stations. They urged all eligible citizens listed in the electoral rolls to take part in this crucial national event.
Issa Saif bin Hanzal, Chairman of the Emirate of Sharjah Committee for the Federal National Council Elections 2023 under the National Election Committee, highlighted the importance of citizens' involvement in the early voting phase taking place at polling centres nationwide. Bin Hanzal encouraged all registered citizens to engage in this vital national event, as their participation plays a pivotal role in choosing the right candidates for the Federal National Council. He anticipated that the utilisation of modern voting systems endorsed by the National Election Committee would boost the overall national turnout during the voting procedure.

Bin Hanzal elaborated on the comprehensive arrangements at the election centre located at the Sharjah Chess Club. It provides facilities for voters who prefer in-person voting, including parking spaces, smooth entry and exit, as well as a dedicated station for voter training on the voting process. Assistance is available for those who have not registered with a digital identity before casting their votes. He assured that voters have complete freedom and confidentiality when selecting their preferred candidates, along with the option to abstain from voting if they do not wish to support any candidate.
