Sharjah 24: Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, affiliated to Suburbs Affairs Department in Sharjah, took a humanitarian and community step that reflects its keenness to strengthen family cohesion and support families in of Sharjah. The initiative comes within the context of the Council’s ongoing efforts to serve the community and enhance its social role.

In this context, Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, in coordination with Sharjah Court and the relevant authorities in the Emirate of Sharjah, launched the “Your Support to Your Families” initiative, aiming at solving social cases for 27 distressed citizens who are breadwinners of their families, subject to executive orders. The total amount paid is 500 thousand dirhams.

This step comes within the framework of the Council’s endeavour to strengthen family cohesion and support families, and this initiative represents support for these cases by returning them to their families as well as consolidating the role of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council in strengthening family relationships that contribute to family stability.

Effective coordination took place between Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, Sharjah Court, and other government agencies to identify the cases that need support, after a careful assessment of their needs, and the Council implemented the initiative as a first step of its kind at the level of suburban councils in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Sharjah Court for the fruitful cooperation and efforts made to make this community initiative a success, which carried a noble value in communicating with social cases. 

Khalfan Saeed Al Marri stressed the importance of the initiative, which constitutes a step in strengthening the stability of families and ensuring the presence of their breadwinner, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
