Sharjah 24: 32 national players from Mleiha Sports Club participated in the Global Modern Pentathlon Championship, held in cooperation between the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) and the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation.

The tournament concluded with great success with the participation of 574 male and female players of different ages and nationalities.

The Mleiha Club champions contributed strongly to this great achievement, whereas they were able to achieve 8 medals in the tournament.

Mleiha Club won three gold medals thanks to the efforts of Mleiha Club players, namely Mayed Hareb Abdullah Al Ketbi, Abdul Rahman Saeed Al Khasouni Al Ketbi, and Dhiyab Omar Saeed Hamidi Al Ketbi.

Mleiha Club players excelled by winning three silver medals through the wonderful performance of Hamid Saeed Al Khasouni Al Ketbi, Awad Hareb Abdullah Al Ketbi, and Abdullah Sultan Abdullah Muhair Al Ketbi.

The successes did not stop here, as Ahmed Abdullah Awad Al Ketbi and Abdullah Issa Al Ali won two bronze medals.

Muhammad Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Sports Club, expressed his pride and happiness at this great achievement for the club’s members.

Al Khasouni also stressed that the club has always been keen to encourage national players to participate in international sporting events and achieve successes in the name of the UAE.

Al Khasouni pointed out that the achievement reflects the dedication and diligence exerted by the members of the Mleiha Club Board of Directors and the administrative and technical staff to enhance the club’s position as one of the distinguished sports clubs qualifying national players.
