Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police General Command has finished implementing a detailed security and traffic strategy in anticipation of the 2023-2024 academic year.

The plan is meant to keep students as well as educators safe by coordinating with other parties to keep safety measures at an optimal level.

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, emphasised the necessity of coordinated efforts to provide a secure learning environment.

The plan is in line with the Ministry of the Interior's objective to improve road safety and includes measures such as securing traffic on internal and exterior highways and strategically deploying police patrols.

Director of Traffic and Patrols Colonel Mohammed Alawi has issued an appeal for drivers to pay attention and slow down in school zones and at pedestrian crossings.
