Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) and the Sharjah Housing Programme signed a data sharing agreement to enhance strategic cooperation between both sides by achieving comprehensive and secure connectivity through the social portal, to ensure optimal use of information and improve the quality of government services provided to the community.
The SSSD confirmed that the agreement seeks to achieve a number of objectives including building effective partnership relations between the two parties; and exchanging relevant data in their field of work, which contributes to enhancing digital transformation processes and raising the efficiency of services and operations. The agreement also contributes to achieving the national index for electronic services and smart services.

Under this agreement, the SSSD grants an electronic link that allows Sharjah Housing Programme to benefit from the shared data.

The SSSD obligations also include providing the necessary data for Sharjah Housing Programme to facilitate the review of housing support requests, informing the second party of any changes in electronic services, in addition to ensuring the availability of electronic services provided.

The Sharjah Housing Programme is committed to preserving data privacy; applying strict internal mechanisms to ensure the confidentiality of information; using the information provided for internal purposes only, which is provided through the electronic services of the data provider; as well as extracting information through the electronic portal only, and not from any other sources.

Her Excellency Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairperson of SSSD, signed the agreement on behalf of the SSSD, and His Excellency Eng. Khalifa Al Tenija, Head of the Programme, signed the agreement on behalf of Sharjah Housing Programme, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides, at Sharjah Housing Programme.

It is worth mentioning that the "Social Data Portal" is one of the innovative projects launched by the department, during the month of innovation, to provide data, by querying the Emirates ID number of customers registered with local and federal government entities, as well as by enabling them to obtain information.

The portal has achieved the desired goals of the innovative service, especially at the level of data flow between government entities in a safe and effective way; reducing the rate of human error to avoid granting benefits and services to those who are not eligible; contributing to the process of speedy decision-making in providing services to society; reducing reviewing time, saving time and effort; in addition to providing correct, accurate and secure data, which raises the level of customer satisfaction.
