Sharjah 24: The Health Promotion Department of Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs, in collaboration with its affiliated health associations, is participating in the 14th edition of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival, organised by the Sharjah Book Authority at the Expo Centre Sharjah under the theme "Train Your Brain."

The department is offering a programme full of informative and interactive workshops and initiatives aimed at promoting health awareness among the entire community and enhancing children's health culture in particular.

This year, the department has presented its awareness programmes in an innovative way through entertaining activities that attract children and raise their awareness about current health issues. Many workshops have been presented through interactive games that make it easy for children to access information, including the importance of healthy eating and preparing a complete and healthy dish.

Her Excellency Eman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, stated that raising health awareness among children develops their personalities, and strengthens their confidence in themselves. She also pointed out that the department's participation in the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival is in line with the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and wife of the Ruler of Sharjah. 

The department's stand at the festival includes a special section for displaying educational films and materials dedicated to children, as well as healthy interactive games such as "My Healthy Plate" and "Smart Shopper". Brochures and educational materials from the department and health-supporting associations that promote awareness about disease and treatment methods are also on display.
