Sharjah24: The Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) have reviewed their opinion on two draft laws related to the Sharjah Civil Aviation Department and the Sharjah International Airport Authority. The committee met at the council's headquarters in Sharjah to discuss the drafts, which were referred to them by the Executive Council of Sharjah.

The meeting was chaired by Her Excellency Hanan Rashid Al Jarwan, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council, and attended by His Excellency Dr. Shaheen Ishaq Al Mazmi, Chairman of the Committee, as well as other members. The two committees discussed the provisions of the draft laws within their respective mandates, including setting high-level policies, performing duties, coordinating development efforts in the field of civil aviation and the Sharjah International Airport Authority, and ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards. 

They expressed their views on the various objectives of the draft laws, as well as their roles in air navigation, surveillance, licensing, simplifying procedures, and improving performance. After discussing several articles of the draft laws, the two committees agreed on a report to be presented to the Deputy Chairman of the Council for consideration in the next session.
