Sharjah 24: In celebration of International Workers’ Day, which falls on May 1 of each year, Al Hamriyah Municipality has established a number of initiatives within the framework of the country's celebrations of the event.

The celebration is part of Al Hamriyah Municipality's strategy 2023-2026, highlighting the efforts of workers and their contributions, holding many joint activities in cooperation with the Sharjah Social Services Department, Al Hamriyah branch.

The activities and programmes were implemented based on the municipality’s community responsibility towards qualified workers, because of their great role and aiming to strengthen workers’ relations with the tasks assigned to them in various aspects of work. In addition to expressing gratitude for the efforts made and the services provided on their part, which contributes to in the development of society.

The municipality’s workers from various departments and sections participated in the festive activities that were organised over two days, including an open entertainment day in the Beach Park in Al Hamriyah, and a distributions of gifts and prizes to the beneficiaries.

For his part, His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, confirmed that the celebration came in recognition of the great and effective role of workers, and their contribution to advancing the wheel of development witnessed by the country.

He stressing that Al Hamriyah Municipality is keen to use these occasions to educate workers, and hold activities that motivate them to be productive and do more.
