Sharjah 24: Khaled Bu Hindi, Chairman of the Hayawa Suburb Council of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, confirmed that the Hayawa Suburb Ramadan Championship for adults is witnessing distinguished competitions between 6 teams, which enhance the enjoyable Ramadan atmosphere for the audience.

On Saturday, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, inaugurated the competitions of the second edition of the Hayawa Suburb Ramadan Championship for adults, in the covered hall of the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by a large multitude of senior officials and families.

Chairman of the Hayawah Suburb Council explained that the tournament, in its second edition, is witnessing the participation of 6 football teams playing the "home and away" in the first rounds, up to the semi-finals, and the final match.

He added that such Ramadan courses enhance the positive atmosphere in caloric intake during the blessed month, and also play a role in encouraging the community to practice sports at different ages, pointing out that the tournament includes several attractive and interesting activities for the public

Buhindi praised the cooperation of Khorfakkan Club and the football company in hosting the tournament at the club's stadiums, expressing his wishes that the competitions would have the support and presence of the masses.
