Sharjah 24: The Department of Building Contracts at the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) organised a dialogue session under the title "Partner's Day" in order to achieve the objectives of the strategic indicators and fulfills the future vision for a sustainable construction.

The initiative comes as a dialogue session and a brainstorming session to improve the services provided by the department and as a platform through which the department introduces its partners to its projects and services, enhancing its strategic relations of cooperation, partnership and contracting.

Fatima Hassan, Director of the Building Contracts Department, stated that the role of the department's partners, including consultants, contractors, and suppliers, supports the department's efforts and enhances its various capabilities in order to enable it to perform its role and mission as required.

She added that the current time is ideal for developing partnerships, especially in light of the urban renaissance taking place in the Emirate, and the department aims to receive requests and comments in a way that enhances the mutual contractual relationship. In addition this is an opportunity to meet with partners and enable participants to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation frameworks and strategic partnerships.

For his part, Eng. Abdullah Noman, Head of the Companies Registration and Evaluation Department, said in the session that he led for the attending companies’ representatives, constitutes a platform for dialogue and interaction and the beginning of a sustainable partnership, based on the department’s keenness and aspiration towards promoting its initiatives.

He added that cooperation and integration of efforts between the department and its strategic partners is of great importance in light of the convergence of common visions and goals to embody the directives of the wise leadership by jointly striving to strengthen these partnerships.
