Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Co-op, the country's first cooperative society, received Sharjah Award for Excellence 2022 awards for "Gulf employment and Emiratization" and "social duty" at yesterday's special ceremony at Expo.

During the event honouring the recipients of the Sharjah Excellence Award 2022, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, honoured the society in the presence of Rashid bin Hoyden, Executive Director of the Supply Chain Sector.

According to CEO Majid Al-Junaid, the endeavours of the Sharjah Co-op in the fields of Gulf employment, Emiratization, and social responsibility have been vital to the cooperative's success.

The Sharjah Award for Gulf Recruitment and Emiratisation is one of the most prestigious honours bestowed by the Emirate of Sharjah in response to the instructions of His Highness Prince Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The Sharjah Prize for Social Responsibility honours organisations in Sharjah's public and private sectors that have created a work system that demonstrates the four pillars of corporate social responsibility: the community, the workplace, the organization's proprietors, and the environment.
