Al Dhaid Club organises session on environmental awareness

Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club organised a dialogue session on environmental awareness, which was moderated by Obaid bin Hamed Al Tuniji .
The session was held under the title "Towards Sustainable Environmental Awareness" to discuss the UAE's efforts in preserving the environment.

During the session, the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in the environment, were discussed, especially since the Emirate of Sharjah has become a model in best practices for preserving biodiversity and sustainability projects.

A number of notables from the central region participated in the event, including Rashid Abdullah Al-Mahyan, Rashid Ali bin Howiden, Obaid bin Hamed Al-Tunaiji, Moheen bin Surour, Rashid bin Howiden, member of the Board of Directors of Al-Dhaid Club, Salem Saif Al-Jari Al-Ketbi, Executive Director of Al-Dhaid Club and the executive staff.

Salem Mohammed bin Howiden thanked attendees for participating and interacting with the community initiatives that the club is setting up and also praised the efforts of the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in Sharjah in spreading environmental awareness and preserving the environmental heritage.

Participants reviewed the environmental diversity that the central region abounds in vegetation, due to the diversity of the terrain between gravel plains and sand dunes and they highlighted  the importance of environmental awareness in preserving nature's treasures, lauding the importance of preserving areas rich in wild vegetation, especially the gravel plains. 

For his part, Khalifa Mubarak bin Dalmouk Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Cultural and Community Development Committee of Al Dhaid Club, thanked all the institutions that contribute to spreading environmental awareness, pointing out that this event comes within the framework of the club's contribution to spreading awareness to preserve the environment.
