SEC reviews impact of "Ruwad" services on businesses

Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, chaired on Tuesday, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of SEC, the meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council.
The Council discussed the draft general budget for Sharjah government departments for 2023, which included all its expected expenditures and revenues for government agencies.
The Council reviewed a study of the impact of Sharjah SME "Ruwad" services on small and medium businesses, which aims to measure several indicators affecting the establishment and management of businesses, the extent of benefiting from the services of Ruwad, and the expected growth.
The study, conducted on a random sample of businesses supported by Ruwad in Sharjah, included measuring the experience and skill of the business owner, planning approaches in establishing businesses, the employees and job vacancies, and the economic impact on Sharjah.
The study concluded with results that showed the contribution of these businesses to the local economy and the benefit the businesses gained from Ruwad’s services.
The Council reviewed a presentation on the electronic educational communication platform aimed at strengthening Sharjah's position in the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities, and strengthening the Sharjah Education Council's role in the digital education field.
