Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Sharjah Export Development Centre, is participating in the activities of the 43rd edition of the "Big 5" International Building and Construction Show, which kicked off on December 5 at the Dubai World Trade Center and will continue until December 8.

Sharjah Export is participating with a platform that includes several local companies specialised in construction products.

The centre aims to boost the presence of local industries and open new exporting windows for Emirati companies opportunities in the regional and international markets, as well as to showcase the quality of construction products in Sharjah, in addition to exploring the construction sector's preparations to deal with future developments.

Mohammed Ahmed Al Awad, Director General of the SCCI, affirmed the Chamber's keenness to participate in this event, which represents a significant opportunity to communicate with others working in the construction sector, discuss aspects of cooperation and explore new areas for investment in addition to benefiting from the qualitative export opportunities provided by the "Big 5" exhibition, highlighting the Sharjah's local products, and increasing the export portfolio and diversifying it towards new export markets, especially since the exhibition comes at a time when Sharjah is witnessing a constant recovery in the construction industry, as the data recently released showed a record of Growth in the contractual value of building permits in Sharjah during the first half of 2022, amounting to AED9.344 billion.
