Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, today visited the pavilion of the Emirates News Agency (WAM) at the Global Media Congress, which is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, until 17th November, 2022, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Sheikh Nahyan praised the congress' planning, which demonstrates the UAE's eminent international reputation in predicting the future of a number of industries, most notably the media sector, as well as its function in fostering media collaborations.

He lauded the efforts of the event’s Higher Organising Committee and noted that its distinguished sessions have witnessed wide participation.

While visiting WAM’s pavilion, Sheikh Nahyan was briefed by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM and Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the Global Media Congress, about the many local and international digital media services provided to the agency’s partners.

He then viewed the advanced technologies being showcased by the pavilion, including the agency’s Metaverse headquarters and digital news system, which is equipped with the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

He was also told that WAM broadcasts news in 19 languages.
