Sharjah 24: Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation announced the launch of the fifth edition of the Sharjah Film Platform, which will run until October 30, with the participation of more than 30 films from around the world.

Speaking to “Sharjah 24” Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi added that the films will be shown in the Mirage City Cinema in the Al Muraija Area and at the theatre of the Sharjah Institute of Theatrical Arts, in addition to children's films in the Flying Saucer building. She pointed out that the current edition of the Sharjah Film Platform will focus on the films of the late Tunisian director Moufida Tlatli, a group of whose films will be shown.

Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi indicated that the Directors' Lounge will be launched, through which directors, filmmakers and film lovers can be introduced to the public, and where exchange ideas also takes place, adding that the place is open daily throughout the festival days.
