DeG obtains a Level 3 Operational Sustainability Certificate

Sharjah24: The Department of e-Government (DeG) has obtained a certificate of operational sustainability of the third level “Tier III gold” from the Uptime International Institute, which is specialised in classifying data centers.
The Uptime Institute Certification of Operational Sustainability (TCOS) provides certified data center owners and operators with a comprehensive assessment of operations, inherent and potential risks, and is an vital guide to the design and effectiveness of the center, guaranteeing the highest levels of service and production.

The Uptime Institute conducts audits of the data center and its operational efficiency and shares ideas, best practices and solutions to help organisations achieve greater reliability in managing operations. exceeds the minimum standards.

Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director General of the Department of e-Government stressed the importance of this achievement, pointing out that the operational sustainability certificate confirms the department’s commitment to benefiting from the capabilities provided by the Emirate of Sharjah to achieve the operational effectiveness of data centers and consolidate the concept of excellence in infrastructure and sustainable operations.

Al Qassimi also stressed the support of the culture of responsibility in providing qualified cadres and work teams that carry out the process of supervision and maintenance along with the continuous audit by the concerned authorities in the department on all practices and procedures, avoiding errors and ensuring a growing, dynamic and flexible working.
