One minute silence for Queen at Bora Aksu catwalk show

Sharjah24 – Reuters: Turkish designer Bora Aksu held a minute's silence at the start of his London Fashion Week show on Friday (September 16) out of respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II, who died last week.
Aksu presented his usual array of frilly feminine dresses, as well as military-style jackets and hats to a packed crowd at London Scottish House, a cultural centre in the centre of the capital.

Reflecting on the Queen, Aksu said he had met her twice during the course of his career and said she had a ''unique personality'' and was interested in his work. Organisers announced last week that London Fashion Week would go ahead as a "business-to-business event" while observing royal protocol and holding tributes for the 96-year-old queen who died on Sept. 8.

Monday's shows, the day of the queen's state funeral, have been rescheduled.
