Sharjah 24: Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council (Khorfakkan MC), presided over the council's first meeting.

According to statements made by Al Naqbi to “Sharjah 24”, the meeting approved the recommendations of the Council at its previous meeting and discussed the main principles of the strategy for 2022-2023.

Dr. Suhail Al Naqbi, the Vice Chairman of the Council, as well as other Council members and Director of the Municipality Engineer Fawzia Rashid Al Qadi, attended the meeting.

According to what Al Naqbi told "Sharjah 24", the meeting focused on a plan to restore the Luluiya Beach area and install a children's play area, as well as a detailed study evaluating the reactions to the implementation of a paid parking system in selected areas of Khorfakkan.

The council discussed the municipality's work and its handling of the recent flood crisis that hit the city.
