'Aman Ya Beladi' reviews security innovation system at SP

During the programme
Sharjah 24: The Aman Ya Beladi programme, which is prepared by the Media and Public Relations Department of the Sharjah Police (SP) every Monday, discussed a number of various security topics through its various stations.
The episode was titled “Security Innovation in Sharjah Police,” and was presented by Major Ibrahim Al Midfa, and First Lieutenant Saud Busim.

The guest of the programme, Major Abdulrahim Al Hammadi, Head of Innovation and Future Foresight Department at SP, spoke about the approach taken by the SP in promoting a culture of security innovation, which is in line with the directives of the wise leadership in establishing a stimulating environment and developing innovation in government work.

Such efforts are translated through organising various internal and external initiatives and projects and internal and external awards in the field of innovation and artificial intelligence, in coordination with strategic partners and government and private entities at all local, regional and international levels.

In his statement, Major Abdulrahim touched on the concept of innovation and its link to artificial intelligence, the active role of SP in promoting innovation at the local and international levels, and how to invest and operate artificial intelligence in various fields of police and security work.

For his part, Captain Saeed bin Hadda, Director of the Innovation Branch in the Department of Strategy and Performance Development at the SP, spoke about the systems of innovation labs, the mechanism for managing ideas, innovation incubators in SP, and the efforts being made to qualify and develop the cadres of the SP, by providing an innovative incubating environment to upgrade the security work system in all its fields.

Captain Bin Hadda called on all members of society to participate in presenting ideas and proposals that serve, as SP is keen to take into account the opinions of employees, customers and community members and employ them in the innovation process, by supporting and adopting all ideas until they become projects that enhances the quality of life security for the community.

In a telephone interview, Iman bin Shaybah, Partnerships Adviser at the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa), spoke about the "Sheraa AI Forum", in which SP participated in its most prominent security innovations in this field, and also talked about the goals behind its organisation, and the role of the great which partnerships between various government and private sectors play in achieving success in the field of artificial intelligence.
