Sharjah 24: On Thursday night, Syrian poet Qamar Al Jassim and Lebanon's Sulaiman Hudaifa recited vernacular poetry in the Levant at Sharjah's Arab Cultural Club. Maria Mohi Alddin moderated the poetry evening.

The moderator discussed the features of vernacular poetry and its importance in the creative and literary realms.

The poets then recited a selection of poetry that dealt with the poets' private and public lives as well as their passionate feelings and emotions for their mothers and women.
