Sharjah24: The Department of Civil Aviation in Sharjah organised a variety of activities to celebrate Emirati Women's Day as well as social responsibility, to emphasise the important role that women have played over the past years. A competition was organised during which valuable prizes were distributed to the winners, in addition to visit nursing home in Sharjah.

The visit to the nursing home came as part of the department’s social responsibility activities to enhance human communication, bring happiness and joy to the elderly and reassure their health and psychological conditions, while at the same time emphasising the important role of women and their service and contributions to the country.

His Excellency Sheikh Issam Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation in Sharjah, said: “The celebration of Emirati Women’s Day reflects the continuous support provided by our wise leadership to empowering women, as well as enhancing the honorable image of their achievements and successes in various fields, in addition to emphasising the necessity of Continuing and working to develop its skills and capabilities.
