Sharjah24 - WAM: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed that urgent assistance be delivered to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which has been hit by severe rains and floods, resulting in fatalities, injuries, and displacements.

His Highness the President, Sheikh Mohamed, further directed that all humanitarian aid services be provided to the displaced in order to improve their ability to overcome the challenges they face.

The UAE's relief effort includes 3,000 tonnes of food, as well as tonnes of medical and pharmaceutical supplies, tents, and shelter materials.

The UAE aid teams will also provide all types of humanitarian assistance to Pakistani cadres and institutions involved in attempts to ensure the safety of the victims as well as their nutritional, medical, and logistical requirements.
