Sharjah24 – Reuters: Steaming milk and creating intricate patterns on coffee, Baristas in Jordan showed off their artistic skills by competing in a latte art competition.

Held over several stages, over 70 baristas initially competed in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba with only 18 qualifying for the finals.

The competition, which was held as part of the Jordan Coffee festival, is a local one, but organisers are hopeful to eventually join international championships.

The Jordan Coffee festival, which included exhibitions of imported coffee brands and machinery and cafe stalls, aims to promote coffee culture in the kingdom. It was held between Thursday (August 18) until Saturday (August 20).
