Sharjah 24: Coinciding with Emirati Women’s Day and under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), the UoS will launch the 3rd Forum for Women in Research entitled "Quwa: Women Empowerment for Global Impact" on Thursday, August 25, 2022.

The Forum’s third edition aims to encourage women to excel in scientific fields by presenting women's achievements in research, and shedding light on prominent events that focus on the role of women in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Region.

18 speakers inside and outside the UAE will participate in the forum, which will include six panel discussions and specialized sessions, besides the exhibition for UoS women’s achievements in research and the announcement of the best research work, as faculty and students have submitted over 379 research papers representing nine countries from the UAE and the GCC region. The forum will include 22 grants in three research categories that will address the most important issues, subjects, and challenges of research in a variety of fields such as medicine, scientific and engineering.

The forum includes sponsors and strategic partners namely, NAMA Women Advancement, Sharjah Electricity Water & Gas Authority (SEWA), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Emirates NBD Group, Pfizer, with the participation of 75 community partners.
