Sharjah 24: With the start of the 2022-2023 school year, the Sharjah Social Services Department is seeking to provide study seats for 45 children under the age of 18, from grades one to twelve, and re-enroll them in public or private schools, as part of its "Noon" project, which was launched by the department in 2016 with the aim of providing educational support to unprivileged children in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Amina Al Rifai, Director of Sharjah's Child and Family Protection Centre, said that the "Noon" project, which is classified within social solidarity services, has witnessed changes in its application since its launch and until today. The teaching process was carried out by a group of volunteer teachers, who taught the children the basics of Arabic, Islamic education, English and mathematics.

She thanked the institutions, companies and individuals who contributed to providing school seats, noting that the number is not yet complete because there are children without seats, calling on individuals and institutions in the public and private sectors to contribute to providing study costs for these children and granting them their natural right to education.

Al Rifai emphasised that the SSSD is keen to involve institutions, private entities and individuals in the success of its projects by activating the societal role, which is a tributary to various events and projects.
