Sharjah24 : The participants in the summer activity of the Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club were briefed on the facilities and laboratories of the Sharjah Academy of Astronomy and Space Science and Technology (SAASST) at the University of Sharjah, during their visit on Sunday afternoon as part of their activities to the Sharjah Summer Camp, which is held under the slogan (Our Holiday is Different ).

After receiving the delegation, they took them on a tour that included the public sections, in addition to providing an explanation about the planetarium and its advanced technologies.

They listened to an illustrated presentation that was shown in the planetarium equipped with the latest technologies. The material included the origin and development of the universe through Quranic verses, after a tour of the universe exhibition in the Holy Quran.

Then they watched the documentary film entitled Religion of Value, which reflects the Arab-Islamic heritage and presents the chronology of the universe from the moment of the Big Bang until the end of the universe. 

The visit included the participants' inspection of a number of the academy's facilities that simulate astronomy and the universe, and an introduction to the center's achievements and the science and knowledge it provides.
