Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police General Command has achieved an exceptional victory in the Adam Smith Awards 2022, by winning the category of the best risk management entity in the field of financial affairs in the world. The award aims to publish the best initiatives and pioneering and distinguished applications.

The Adam Smith Awards are considered one of the most important awards in financial affairs at the global level, and are awarded annually to institutions that are distinguished for leadership, innovation and creativity in their adoption of best financial practices. The award reflects the excellence and leadership of Sharjah Police in managing risks in financial affairs.

Brigadier Rashid Salem Al-Bas Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Financial Affairs Department at Sharjah Police, said: "The award includes criteria for measuring the most important capabilities supporting the improvement of financial procedures, and out of the Sharjah Police's keenness to achieve global leadership in various fields, as it was keen to highlight its efforts through corporate governance  and financial risk management, periodic evaluation and identification of treatment plans for severe risks.

Brigadier General Al-Bass also praised the efforts of the work team in achieving this achievement for the Sharjah Police Department of Financial Affairs, noting that obtaining the ISO standard in risk "31000:2018" in the past period was a major supporter in achieving this leading position in the Adam Smith International Award.
