SCFA announces opening participation in SACGW

Sharjah24: The Cultural and Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) in Sharjah announces the opening of participation in the Sharjah Award for Creativity of Gulf Women (SACGW) in its 5th session for the year 2022 , after the success achieved by the award in the previous four sessions, where the number of participants in the award from the Arab Gulf states reached 172 nominees. 23 winners in various fields were crowned for the competition from novels, poetry, and literary studies. The increase in the number of nominated entries in the fourth session of 2021 was 9% compared to the number of nominations in the first session of the award, which was launched in 2017.
The award comes in support of the creativity of women in the Arab Gulf and their intellectual visions in cultural and literary issues, and to enhance the role of fiction and poetry for women in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and as an effective contribution to enriching modern Gulf literature, in addition to raising the spirit of positive competition in literary creativity among those with literary expertise and experiences.

The Cultural and Media Office in the Council manages and announces the award through a guide that contains all the technical and procedural details from receiving the applications until the honoring ceremony and awarding the awards, as well as providing support and assistance to achieve its objectives. Experts in the literary and cultural field.

Several conditions for participation in the award were also determined, including that the applicant be from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, that participation be in only one of the areas of the award, and that the winner does not participate until after three cycles have passed. The participant is also entitled to participate annually in the event of not winning, Thursday, November 17, 2022, was set as the last day to receive entries.
