Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, received a delegation of students from the Faculty of Media and Journalism, Damascus University.

The delegation is currently visiting the UAE under an initiative to support outstanding Arab youths involved in the media sector.

During the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan welcomed the delegation, as well as Dr. Amal Melhem, Founder of AM Media, Dr. Mohammad Al Omar, Vice Dean of the Faculty.

Sheikh Nahyan said that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has made the media a key tool in the process of sustainable development, and has shown an inspiring media experience through its responsible and credible media sector, which has helped promote the principles of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity.

Dr. Amal Melhem highlighted that the UAE is a leading country in the media sector, referring to the diversity of the sector and its many media establishments.
