Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced that Khorfakkan University will be opened next Wednesday, and Kalba University next year.

His Highness pointed out that every university established in the Emirate must have specialisations, indicating that Khorfakkan University, includes a new addition befitting the city and its marine nature, which is the new College of Marine Sciences.

This came during a call of His Highness, through the "Direct Line" programme, broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA)’s Radio and Television, with Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA).

His Highness highlighted that the College of Marine Sciences is concerned with marine sciences, deep seas, beaches and fish, and these specialisations are scientific, rare and very required.

His Highness noted that the Kalba University, which will open its doors next year, to include different disciplines and focuses in sports sciences, and Al Dhaid University will focus in agriculture and livestock, to benefit the cow breeding project and the multiplication of seeds and plants.
