RoT Mufti presents rare copy of the Holy Qur’an to HQA

Sharjah 24: Sheikh Kamel Samee' Allah Iskandar, Grand Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan (RoT), presented to the Holy Quran Academy (HQA) a rare copy of the Noble Qur’an called the Kazan Mushaf Edition.
Sheikh Sherzad Abdul Rahman Taher, Secretary General of Holy Quran Academy (HQA) said that this rare copy is considered one of the oldest copies printed by Lithography, and it dates back to the year 1803 and is called the “Basma Kazan” copy, which the Republic of Tatarstan took great care of. This Qur’an is the product of the efforts of several scholars throughout history. It is distinguished by the beautiful Kazan script called “Basma”, with two editions that were printed at the time, the first for adults in two large volumes, and the second for children in ten small volumes, and it was printed at the time by the Asian Printing House. The Kazan Qur’an adhered to the rules of Ottoman painting.
